Replace doubts about God with reasons for hope.

The mission of First Baptist Church is all about helping people find hope in God, grow in their faith, and build strong relationships with others.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
1 Peter 3:15

Grow hearts of faith with the knowledge of the Bible.

We also want to help people grow in their understanding and love of God. This means providing opportunities for Bible study and other ways to learn more about Jesus and what it means to follow him.

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 3:18

Nurture a love for God and others through fellowship around God's Word.

Another big part of our mission is fostering a sense of community and encouraging people to love and serve others. We want to make sure that everyone feels connected and supported, and that we're reaching out to those in need.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 22:37-39

Equip the Saints to follow God's guidance.

Finally, we want to help people discover and use the unique gifts and talents that God has given them. We offer training and other resources to help people get involved in serving others and making a positive impact in the world.

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Ephesians 4:11-12

All in all, our goal at First Baptist Church is to help people grow in their relationship with God, build strong connections with others, and use their gifts to make a difference in the world.
