The Christmas Star

The Christmas Star is a beautiful reminder of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As we approach the Christmas season, it is important to reflect on the amazing miracle of God sending his only son to save us, and the star of Bethlehem that announced his arrival. Here are three reasons why the Christmas Star is so important to us as evangelical Christians:

1. The Christmas Star is a sign of God’s presence.

The Bible tells us that the star of Bethlehem was “his sign” (Matthew 2:2). The star was a reminder to all of us that God is right here with us, and that he has come to save us. It is symbolic of God's faithfulness and love, and a reminder that he is always with us.

2. The Christmas Star points us to Jesus.

The star of Bethlehem “went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was” (Matthew 2:9). The star was a guide for the Magi, leading them to the place where Jesus was born. In the same way, the Christmas Star is a reminder for us that Jesus is the light of the world and the only way to salvation (John 14:6).

3. The Christmas Star is a symbol of hope.

The Bible tells us that the “star shone in the east” (Matthew 2:2), and it was a sign of hope to the people of Israel. The star was a sign of God’s promise that he would send a Savior to save the world. As Christians, we can find hope in the Christmas Star, knowing that Jesus came to save us and to bring us eternal life (John 3:16).

The Christmas Star is an important symbol of God’s faithfulness and love. As we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ this Christmas season, let us find joy and hope in the star of Bethlehem.
